28. Mindful Quotations
Breathing
It’s no secret that focusing on your breathing is a great way to calm down if you’re stressed, but don’t wait until then.
To help you focus, practice breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth
If this proves difficult, countdown breathes from twenty.
It may seem too easy, but it will help get rid of those distracting thoughts.
You cannot find peace by avoiding life - Viriginia Woolf

Weekend Check-in
It’s easy to get consumed in our busy lives and forgot to check in with ourselves
This leads to unrest and lack of calmness in our lives.
Make a conscious decision each week to set aside time to ask yourself these questions:
What brings me Joy?
How am I showing up?
What am I feeling?
What gives me comfort?
What gives me hope?
How to spend time for yourself?
Use these questions and ensure you are remaining true to yourself.
Attempt the Impossible
To achieve all that is possible, you must attempt the impossible.
To be as much as you can be, you must dream of being more.

So Much to See
We often feel overwhelmed by the places we haven’t been and the things we haven’t seen. Plan to go somewhere you haven’t been before, near or far.

30. Do’s and Don’ts for Healthy relationships
Never both be angry at the same time.
Never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.
If one of you has to win an argument, let it be your partner.
If you have to criticize, do it lovingly.
Never bring up mistakes of the past.
Neglect the whole world rather than each other.
Never go to sleep with an argument unsettled.
At Least once every day try to say one kind or complimentary thing to your partner.
When you have done something wrong, be ready to admit it and ask for forgiveness.
It takes two to make a quarrel, and the one in the wrong is the one who does the most talking
Do have your bubble space
Don’t commit to any promises when you are extremely happy or sad or angry 😀 😞 😠
Do share all the feelings 🙂 🥲 😢 😭 💖 💗 🥹
Don’t hide your feelings, Please vent out as early as possible. If you don’t have anyone to share… at least vent out in front of the mirror.
Do trust your partner and yourselves.
Do love yourself and partner
Don’t believe the stories and talk and bull stories by others. Rather listen to your own heart.
Do listen to yourself first.

HEALTH IS WEALTH
Prevention is better than CURE.
32. Gratitude
Provided by TherapistAid.com
Gratitude means appreciating the good things in life, no matter how big or small. Making the practice of gratitude a regular part of your day can build happiness, self-esteem, and provide other health benefits.
Gratitude Journal
Every evening, spend a few minutes writing down some good things about your day. This isn’t limited to major events. You might be grateful for simple things, such as a good meal, talking to a friend, or overcoming an obstacle.
Give Thanks
Keep your eyes open throughout the day for reasons to say “thank you.” Make a conscious effort to notice when people do good things, whether for you or others. Tell the person you recognize their good deed, and give a sincere “thank you.”
Mindfulness Walk
Go for a walk and make a special effort to appreciate your surroundings. You can do this by focusing on each of your senses, one at a time. Spend a minute just listening, a minute looking at your surroundings, and so on. Try to notice the sights, sounds, smells, and sensations you would usually miss, such as a cool breeze on your skin, or the clouds in the sky.
Gratitude Letter Think about someone who you appreciate. This could be a person who has had a major impact on your life, or someone who you would like to thank. Write a letter that describes why you appreciate them, including specific examples and details. It's up to you if you’d like to share the letter or not.
Grateful Contemplation Remove yourself from distractions such as phones or TV and spend 5-10 minutes mentally reviewing the good things from your day. The key to this technique is consistency. Think of it like brushing your teeth or exercise—it should be a normal part of daily self-care. This technique can be practiced as part of prayer, meditation, or on its own.
Gratitude Conversation With another person, take turns listing 3 things you were grateful for throughout the day. Spend a moment discussing and contemplating each point, rather than hurrying through the list. Make this part of your routine by practicing before a meal, before bed, or at another regular time.

Source: https://rnarayanaswami.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/SURYANAMASKAR.pdf
The Surya Namaskar Postures and Breathing Patterns: The 12 postures are:
Stand facing the Sun with palms folded and both the thumbs touching the chest. Breathing: Inhale while raising the hands and exhale as hands are brought down to chest level
Raise hands upward, with feet firmly on the ground, bend backwards, stretch arms fully. Breathing: Inhale
Slowly bend forward, hands touching the earth with respect, head touching the knees. Breathing: Exhale
Set both hands with the palms down firmly on the ground, pull the left leg backward, raise the head looking at the Sun, full weight resting on the two palm and ten fingers. Breathing: Inhale
Bring the right leg back close to the left leg, keeping hands and legs straight, bend the body at the hip forming an arch, just like a mountain, known as ‘parvathasan or mountain pose’. Breathing: Exhale
Stretch yourself fully on the ground in the Saashtanga Namaskar pose (all eight ‘anga’ or parts of the body on the ground – head, thigh, eyes (sight), mind, word, feet, hands and ears (hearing)). In reality, feet, knees, thighs, chest, forehead touch the ground with the hands stretched out and in folded position, with your mind and thoughts on the full namaskar, then slowly turn the head to the sides first to left and then to right so that each ear touches the ground. Breathing: Inhale first and then Exhale fully.
Slowly raise the head, bend backward as much as possible, hands straight, in the cobra pose. Breathing: Inhale
Parvathasan – same as Step 5. Breathing: Exhale
Same as Step 4 with the difference that the right leg is brought forward. Breathing: Inhale
Same as Step 3 Breathing: Exhale
Same as Step 2 Breathing: Inhale
Same as Step 1 Breathing: Exhale, Inhale and Exhale.
